  @Seeker1982 Thanks! As for our sector times, our replays are quite similar. But watching the replays, we did the tricky sections quite differently. I think around 1:06.00 could also have been possible -- but not for me. @CTG did 1:07.45 with auto trm, and there were 4 locations on the track where manual trm had an advantage (earlier transmission): jumping off the loop, small jump in the corkscrew, around ~50s in the air between the two elevated corners and jumping off the last elevated corner. That could have yielded more than 0.75-0.85 seconds for him by repeating his lap with manual trm. And also grats to you and of course to the winner, @Duplode!

  Hello! So, I've been so busy since I started with my new job that I forgot I had to post a track here. Dreadnaut contacted me and gave me the great idea of running this track in parallel, as the race has just begun in R4K as well, so here it is! Hope you guys enjoy it! Try it OWOOT in R4K too! -- By the way @Dreadnaut, I think there's an extra "4" in the note at the top of the scoreboard. It's cool that we have the announcement there

  Good idea! But I'm unable to directly post the replay submitted in R4K, since I named the track as R4K-2105, while the uploader here requires ZCT238. Editing some of the first bytes with an hex editor should work, however.

  I can't post the replay. Even after modifying the name in ZCT238, it says that it does not match the track name. Also, loading the hex modified .rpl works correctly (provided that the same track is both present as R4K-2105 and ZCT238), but running again the latest seconds and resaving does not fix.

  @afullo Yep, ZakStunts is quite strict when it comes to uploaded replays. Both name and track contents need to be correct. Maybe in your replay there's a Bliss 0x98 byte at the end of the track data?

  This track is much more fun with the Indy... But it seems I have to start the engine of the Countach and find back some of my Countach skills, which my fingers isn't teeming with... :-(

  Alright! I'll try my own track here without looking at any replay. Uhm... R4K makes track verification by checking the 1801 bytes that compose the actual track information, so renaming does not cause any problem. This means that, if you use the modified version provided by ZakStunts, you can later post the replay in R4K. The thing is that isn't very useful anyway, as OWOOT is more restrictive than ZakStunts' free-style.

  I have to say, if I had noticed the double jump immediately, I would have modified the track. I strive for all tracks to be viable with any car, without long excursions the grass.

  Now I have three options: a) I leave things as they are, and some people will manage the jump with the lambo, some will not b) I fix the track and restart the race c) I change car coefficients to bring a faster car level with the Lambo. Let me know what you think, although it's not a vote—the decision is still up to me.

  My personal opinion is that the race should go on. Whether you drive on grass, your replay is still valid. If driving on grass makes your lap time still good, then why not? With some cars, you'll have to do something that's different from what you do with others and that happens always. That part is only my opinion. Now I'll be more strict in this other part: the double jump is a crucial part of the design of this track. If you do remove it, I would like the race name to be changed, please. Otherwise, in the future, if somebody is looking for a track called "Symbolic link", they won't know which is the right one. Just to avoid confusion.

  Another, somewhat related, topic. I've made a little proggie to patch your R4K replays of this month so you can post them in ZakStunts. I put it in the forum here: Zakize - Make your replays compatible with ZakStunts - Of course, if the track does get modified, this won't work, because it'd be a different track, but if it isn't, you can use this to post your R4K replays as GAR here, for example. Hope you guys find it useful

  Oh, I was just thinking... I would like to provide an extra possible solution to this, if you guys would prefer. I still like it better as it is, but, if you guys would prefer to restart the race, I could make the track modifications myself or provide another track. If I modify it, I'll probably like to make a detour so that there's an alternative path, but wouldn't remove the path that has the double jump. Anyway, it's up to Dreadnaut, but it'd be interesting to read more opinions.

  I feel we should go on, as it seems too late to start over. It's a little unfortunate that the double jump is rather nasty with the Countach, largely because of anti-powergear. All things considered, though, I think we can live with it.

  By the way, a tip for those who are learning the Countach. Above 140 mph or so, it is better to climb ramps with the Countach without accelerating, as in that case anti-powergear can slow you down. For similar reasons, when landing from jumps with the Countach at high speeds (180+ mph), it is often better to lift the throttle just before hitting the ground, and waiting a little while before continuing to accelerate.

  @Ryoma, your two most recent GAR replays are invalid. In the Ferrari GTO, you went off the track at 1:42.20. In the BMW M3 E30 DTM, you went off the track at 0:49.25, 1:17.90 and 1:28.85. The GAR competition is strict about this. Great driving otherwise!

  Ha, ha... sorry. This track was originally designed with the Jaguar in mind, because at the moment, I didn't know it was going to go into ZakStunts. With my new job, I had forgotten that it was my track posting month here. I honestly don't think I have the skills to do it with the Lamborghini so I'll stick to the DTM cars and the P962. Of course, I'll give the Lambo a try, but just a try. And I agree, the Trueno has no chance here!

  You don't have to do the double jump with the Countach. If you jump off the ramp to the right, you can drive close to the wall of the elevated road until you reach the icy corners. It is much more worthy I think than the 36 s penalty or even than driving a chanceless car...

  @stan 286xt don't try to finalize the jump but drive on the right after the jump. You must be close the ramp. When you arrive to the hill,go right and aim the limits beetwen ice and tarmac.

  For me this ztc238.trk was a new thing I didn't think the editor made you take such a long jump. I would have thought wrong road interrupted. With race for kiks mod there are too many crashes. With the 286 my car explodes on the gard reil it's frustrating!!!!!

  Stunts allows this jump because there is technically only a one tile gap. It just happens that the gap follows a level bridge piece rather than a ramp up. It's a bit of a weird oversight in the code, but it allows for some cool variations on tracks, so it works out in the end.

  Very nice ride, Overdrijf. I missed that tunnel's rooftop. Why did not you ride Lambo? Now I cannot remember if I sent a correct replay. Btw - has anyone tried to skip icy corners after that big jump (land on the grass after the jump)? Or powergear at ZCT234 (I was hoping for a nice winning PG surprise)?

  Because I didn't feel like driving Lambo, basically. Which is why I went Acura. A preliminary drive by Duplode suggested it was at least sort of competitive. When the Acura beat me I tried the Indy because I was now invested in trying to do a powergear run. When that didn't work out I went for what's familiar. I'm not even sure I could have done a better lap than this in the Lambo given the same amount of time before the deadline. Although part of that is hindsight, I got pretty lucky with the amount of time it took to do the loopcut.

  There were some changes to the bonus adjustments for this season. I believe the zero-sum rule has gone away, but the ten points limit, in principle, hasn't. See this post by dreadnaut: Cars and rules for 2021

  What Duplode said For this long-ish track, +5/+5 didn't feel enough, and I didn't want to choose one of the DTM cars over the other. They are similar after all, so I gave both +10 to keep them paired.

  Does it mean that after the race their bonus will be lowered together as well (assuming that one of them will be the winning car)?

  This year the "author bonus" only lasts for one track. Once the race is over, the +10 will be gone from both cars. After that, we reduce the points as usual for the cars on the podium, and increase everything else.

  Well I wasn't clear or you don't understand me, but I wasn't talking only about the author bonus, rather about treating the cars as one or not. But I think if you treated the two cars together regarding the author bonus, you should do so regarding the winning car bonus reduction, too.

  Yeah, I think I mis-read your previous message ? I'm not sure how it would work, because the automatic changes are made to keep the overall points stable between seasons. Removing double points would affect the total, and removing half from each would be unfair if one cars fill the podium, and the other goes unused. My intention was to give people more options, but if that screws up everything else, then I'll add points to one car and that's it.

  Maybe I could give +5/+5 to both, and avoid the problem altogether. They are likely to be the cars for this race anyway.
