Happy Birthday, GTAman15! Cheesy And yes, indeed! Race For Kicks goes with the Xylocaine FX this month! The first time I host a race with this car Smiley
  • GTAManRCR
This isn't my birthday, maybe i mistyped something, but thank you
  • GTAManRCR
My birthday will be on 13th of December
  • GTAManRCR
But whatever, i played on the latest Race for Kicks track (This doesn't count as a competition), see here: This is in GAR style
  • Cas
Great, mate! You can post that one. If you select the NoRH option when uploading, it'll be understood that it's GAR Smiley
  • Seeker1982
after LOTS of trys I managed a new gar-time, though after looking at it in replay I I'm afraid it's not valid due to (slightly) going off-track at the schikane - however I gonna send it in anyways

  • dreadnaut
The two islands in the map remind me of the early GTA games, in particular Vice City.
  • GTAManRCR
What a good idea, dreadnaut! Creating a track like a GTA (Directly)

  • KaoS
Actually has someone a guide or tutorial how to make Replayhandling? im a Noob and dont unterstand that Smiley
  • dreadnaut
You can start with the "Driving school" pages, see menu on the left Smiley
  • Overdrijf
I short, press Esc while driving or View Replay afterwards, rewind your replay, go to the menu and choose "continue driving". Infinite retry's!
  • Overdrijf
In short. I'm not shorting. Although I do like shorts, they're comfy and easy to wear.
  • Seeker1982
Just for laughs I used 1x RH on a otherwhise perfect GAR-Lap to see what time is possible with GAR-Driving - I managed a 1:26,95; I do have a replay file from that lap (Stunts-file and DOSbox-whise) with pure GAR my record is 1:27,40 - my limit with pure GAR seems to be low 1:27 since i tried for days and couldn't manage a better time

  • Akoss Poo
    CHÜRMÜÜ!!! :-)
  • Seeker1982
My Masterpiece Wink - A new proper GAR-Lap of 1:27,05 in the Jag after many days of trial runs

Dec 7

  • Seeker1982
my first driven 1:18,x in the Jag

Dec 8

  • Seeker1982
I just wanna say that today I joined the Race for Kicks (R4K) competition, which is very similar to GAR-rules I already posted a replay for the current track, with similar results as my GAR-replays here Cheesy

Dec 9

  • Cas
I'll be reviewing your replays shortly, Seeker! Yes, R4K is OWOOT and you can optionally do it RH, NoRH or both Smiley

Dec 13

  • dreadnaut
Hello Stan, and welcome to ZakStunts!
  • dreadnaut
Only two days left before the end of the race, and of season 2018 Smiley
  • Alan Rotoi
Hi! A rainy day it's ideal for a Stunts race with friends Smiley

Dec 14

  • Cas
It's not raining here in Córdoba. Really hot and humid day, though!

Dec 15

  • Overdrijf
Such a nice Jag track, so little time...
  • Overdrijf
Also welcome to Stan. A valiant effort, for that car with its current bonus.

Dec 16

  • dreadnaut
And we're done! Thanks for everyone who raced this month, and those who have been around for the whole year!
  • dreadnaut
Now, some quiet replays are out, but the podium does not change. I'll verify the replays tomorrow, and we'll sum up all the numbers then Smiley
  • Alan Rotoi
    CTG won Cheesy
  • Overdrijf
Nice sweep of the Newbie league by Seeker. That's some Ayrton level winning there. (2008 ZakStunts Ayrton, but I guess also kind of the real one. http://zak.stunts.hu/racers/Ayrton )
  • Heretic
Omg, I forgot to update my time! [lmao] But congratulations to the participants and I look forward to the next track. Smiley
  • afullo
I would be able to claim a 108/108 in the newbie league too, for the season 2014, since Clairwill was Duplode racing under the British flag Tongue Anyway, by partly quoting a TV speaker comment just after the victory of the 2006 World Soccer Cup by the Italian team, "the sky is blue above... that 30x30 square!" Cheesy
  • dreadnaut
Scoreboard confirmed, congratulations to FinRok, CTG and Duplode. And again to Duplode, Seeker and CTG for the championship podium!
  • dreadnaut
Interesting replay by Stan: I had to fix his time because it was recorded with Stunts set at "half-speed"; it might come from an actual 286!
  • dreadnaut
The next season will start on the 13th of January, 2019 Smiley We might have an event or two over the holidays, so keep an eye here and on the Forum. Also, Race 4 Kicks is running until Christmas, go submit a replay there too! http://dimioca.com/r4k/
  • Cas
Nice racing with you guys this season! Smiley Count on me for the next one!

Dec 17

  • Duplode
Congratulations to Rok for a Nice victory, to CTG for holding on to the second place, and to Seeker for holding on to the second place. And happy birthday, Zak!
  • Cas
Congrats, guys!! Also, Happy Birthday, Zak! Cheesy
  • afullo
Happy birthday, Zak and Gigi Dag! (CTG would appreciate Cheesy )

Dec 19

  • Seeker1982
@Duplode: what second place? I won the newbie-championchip and the GAR one, does what mean I reached 2nd place overall?
  • Seeker1982
    that not what
  • afullo
Yes, you beat CTG by one point.

Dec 20

  • CTG
Real life Stunts in Slovakia. Friker?
  • Seeker1982
wow I didn't think I get up this high in my 1st full season. But to be honest it looks like it's only because I participarted every race. And I just found the Season Standings on tihs site. Can't wait on the final write-up for this season Cheesy
  • Seeker1982
    participated..

Dec 21

  • afullo
There are also Team Standings, for the next year you can think about joining one Tongue About racers, some pipsqueaks like CTG and FinRok are likely stronger than you, but there is a wide middle-upper class on which you were able to emerge quite well...
  • CTG
Btw what happened to the Endurance Bonus? There's still an EB column in season's standings. That one was a great idea to reward the most persistent pipsqueaks.
  • afullo
It was abolished in 2015. I liked it too, but the majority of pipsqueaks was for its abolition.
  • dreadnaut
Fiuuuu, I'm glad the answer was not "oh, dreadnaut forgot about it for three years in a row" Tongue

Dec 22

  • Cas
    Endurance bonus? That's interesting :p

Dec 23

  • afullo
http://zak.stunts.hu/rules/2014 : "Bonus points (Endurance Bonus) are awarded for frequent racers who participate in more than 8 [my note: in fact, 9] races per season. After the completing additional races, bonus points are awarded as follows: upon completing the 10th race in a season, +1 point; upon completing the 11th race in a season, +2 points; upon completing the 12th race in a season, +3 points. These bonus points do not affect the monthly scoreboards or the team scores, but accumulate and are included in the seasonal scores. So for example a racer participating on all tracks gets +6 points." - Indeed, I completed 11 races in 2014, thus getting 3 points as endurance bonus.
  • Seeker1982
Since I achieved a better result than that i expected, I wanna "celebrate" it with comming clean - I'm a 2e or even 3e (twice/triple exceptional) Here is a great video on what it is I just found, which I also will show to my english speaking relatives&friends. I'm diagnosed with Asperger-Syndrom (a relative weak form of autism) and being highly gifted (IQ 130+). So there you go Cheesy . Btw: one of my personality-traits is being very persistant (endurance bonus anybody? Wink )

Dec 24

  • Cas
I would say "yes" to endurance bonus!
  • afullo
#metoo. That makes four of us Tongue Merry Christmas to all! Smiley

Dec 25

  • dreadnaut
Hello there around the world, Merry Christmas! Smiley
  • Cas
    Merry Christmas!!! Cheesy

Dec 26

  • Overdrijf
Yeah, merry Christmas everyone. On the endurance bonus: it does kind of counteract the thing where only your 8 best results count for your real score. Is there much of a point to having both of those rather than just dropping both if we want to reward endurance?
  • Overdrijf
    *9
  • afullo
In my opinion, endurance bonus and dropping of the three worst results are not incompatible, because EB give credits to the number of tracks ran, regardless of the positions achieved. A pipsqueak can be in serious difficulty on a certain track, so it makes sense not to count every result in the season, but at the same time, an incentive to race at least once in every track, can increment the number of racers.

Dec 27

  • Cas
I had already been thinking of the point Overdrijf and Afullo are now stating. How about "endurance" having to do with having been active in the previous season, with at least a certain number of races? That number of races can be less than the total, thus still allowing people their "vacations".
  • Cas
On the other hand, this could be negative for newbies, whereas the point is that, in any case, it be negative for people who are not newbies, but have been absent for some time. Therefore, for newbies, a "welcome bonus" could be given to prevent this.
