- @Marco, thanks for checking the AresUII replay. @Duplode, don't forget to cancel the GAR flag for the AresUII replay. Also, rule 3.55.2 certainly needs clarification and adjustments due to the introduction of larger cars like the Silverado. All GAR cars must be on equal terms with respect to the applicable rules

Hi my friends. Sorry for my english. I think that my english is so bad that let me appear several time boastfull while, in my real italian life, I'm very funny .Don't know how to explain but, for me that I'm a full dos gamer, this community is magic, it's magic that a dos game of the 1991 is taken so seriously today , I love this so much . Well Alain, Dreanaut explained perfectly my intentions that were absolutely not to impose to chose the car. It was a simple consideration about the fact that, with a free choice, slowest cars are always or very often the final choice due to the % advantage. So it would be very difficult to see a GAR race with different cars than the Silverado this year
)) . Anyway, the fact I wrote the GAR rules, doesn't mean anything to me . I worked on them for this community and the GAR rules are for this community . So the community can always decide what is better for all expecially when there are so strictly rules. Anyway , I checked Ares replay and, in my mind, it would be not valid . So I checked my GAR video and I think that, "my mind" could be explained better than that . Infact , the primary objective of the rule must be to do not take speed up advantage , so "Don't jump in or out of the corkscrew" . While, the rule regarding the OPOOT on the perpendicular line has come as a help to avoid the jumping (but probably is not enough with all the cars). Jumping speed up would be allowed only as involuntary on "jumps" obviously and banked roads . Then we know that, on banked roads , with right skills, it is possible to engage a little jump speed up ... this is quite permitted because it's difficult to demonstrate that it was done on purpose )) - Duplode
- On rule 3.55.2: As it is written right now, the "In particular [...]" sentence refers to the main part of the rule (the "On both entry and exit [...]" sentence), and acts as commentary rather than as an additional requirement. If you feel it really matters, I'd be happy to amend the rule to address this weird special case with the Silverado, so that the text is closer to the spirit of the rule. However, I'm not sure it would be fair to apply such an amendment retroactively to that specific replay by AresUII, given that it follows the letter of the rule as currently written.

- Aknowledged. I was wrong about the car choice non existent debate. I'll wait for his views about GAR racing to try comply to them (at my own no RH pace, which I call TMHT, half turtle and half ninja).

- In my mind, @Marco is the main architect of GAR racing. He first proposed and championed the format. Everything evolves of course, but I would defer to him for most details. On the other hand, re-reading his message, I don't think he is trying to fix a car @Alain. Marco is describing how things often end up, not how they must go.

- Well, invoking Finrock is irrelevant because he's inactive and out of the 2026 gentlemen convo. Let's see what Victor, Duplode and Marco will decide between expert GAR Gentlemen. You and I HerrNove, are not qualified to edict the rules either (look at our recent results). To conclude, I must be honest: I'll support Victor's choices in any case.

- @Marco, @Duplode, rule 3.55.2 states: "In particular, this rule forbids drifting leftwards when exiting an L/R cork in order to gain airtime." @Marco, I look forward to your decision on AresUII's replay. @Duplode, please re-check AresUII's replay for any serious violations of 3.55.2; I don't understand why the Silverado should have an advantage over other cars in terms of section 3.55.2?

- I'll just point out that GAR originally refers to the “gentleman's agreement” between @Marco and @FinRok*. So Marco might not be a king, but his status concerning GAR is something between an official founder and the author of the Tablets of the Law. - Marco, I must respectfully disagree with your assumptions, although I admit I am only a humble potato with a steering wheel. At GAR, we have always raced with whatever car we wanted. That was, as far as my tiny brain understood it, part of the spirit of the thing. Also, unless I missed your coronation ceremony, I don’t think you are officially qualified to edict the rules for everyone. I will politely remind you that in GAR, the A stands for Agreement, not Anarchy. I know, shocking discovery. I had to sit down after realizing it. So no, I’m not taking part in a GAR race where car choices are suddenly prohibited by royal thunderbolt. And yes, this is a boycott threat — but a very polite one, with a napkin folded on its knees — in defence of freedom of choice. Freedom for the cars. Freedom for the drivers. Freedom for my last remaining brain cell.

Ahahah, I love you because this discussion is very professional . I will check the replay and tell my opinion. My ulnar nerve doesn t permit me to still get inside the competition. About the car, well, unfortunately , in a GAR race here in Zak, if you don t decide the car at the beginning , it will be almost always a slowest one. Was not bad the testarossa chosen by duplode but it was fast override by the truck
