  • TRACK RECALL!!!!
Sorry the site admin was out of his mind yesterday. If you downloaded the track before you saw this message, please re-download, as it was recalled. The current track, ZCT104 is identical with ZCT22.
  • Duplode
All post-2004 noobs like me should go and give the Jaguar a try!
  • CTG
Zak: sorry but this one was a very stupid idea. Really... There was another hundred of track.
  • AbuRaf70
    Happy Birthday, Overdrijf...!!!
  • Duplode
@CTG/Zak: It's true that, specially because Jaguar (actually P962, but anyway) is very likely to be the best car, it would be hard to persuade veterans to race it three times. Not to mention the 1:11.xx by Gutix looks like an extremely strong time already... Maybe a track recall would be a good idea (in that case, I feel that something from late '02 or early '03 would be a good pick). And happy Birthdy Overdrijf! (where are you Craspher guys?)
  • Zak McKracken
ok you`re right. What about ZCT22 in this case?
  • Zak McKracken
track recalled! If you downloaded the track before 9:00am GMT+1 Feburary 1st, please download again!
  • Zak McKracken
    and sorry
  • SuperBrian
Happy birthday Overdrijf! Hope to see you on the scoreboard again soon..
  • Gutix
It was a great decision to change the track Smiley
  • Paradisio
What a bad idea to use old tracks Sad At least it could have been one of the first ten of zct tracks. Z22 was so crap, I even don't remember I raced on it. Why not to race on Z04 instead?
  • Duplode
But I'd suppose it is a GOOD thing not remembering racing on it the first time  and it really seems you don't: see ZCT22 :-)
  • CTG
    A good one.
  • CTG
    BÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖÖ... (you know the end)
  • CTG
Muhahahaha I'm slower than in 2003... Cheesy

Feb 2

  • Duplode
Matched with CTG, a little behind Zak and Argammon maybe within reach. Not too bad :-)
  • Akoss Poo
    böff
  • CTG
you don't dare to race, poo
  • CTG
DUP: see the opposite way of changing mind about ZCT22! ZCT22
  • satanziege
    Team-internal number one - and I believe - below 2min may be possible!! ;-)

  • Bonzai Joe
There you are. I was beginning to think you were dead.
  • SuperBrian
    :-/
  • Argammon
Fortunately? not yet. The forum seems to be kinda dead...

  • Paradisio
Some bugs: when pressing on racer in newbie league it shows blank profile page. Another one is with Pitman: in overall standings his status is newbie but on track scoreboard he's missing in newbie standings.

Feb 7

  • Duplode
    Happy Birthday Lene :-)
  • AbuRaf70
    Happy Birthday, Lene...!!!
  • Gutix
LOL... 01 milisecond of difference between CTG and me
  • Bonzai Joe
But you're still both slower than me and Rotoi, in a considerably faster car.
  • Zak McKracken
thanks for the bug report, both fixed.
  • Paradisio
Actually one bug with newbie league still exists on track scoreboards Smiley
  • Duplode
And thanks for fixing the minor bugs I posted as well Smiley Other than the Newbie Race Scoreboard -> Racer Profile thing Mingva mentioned, only the 2010 Sent Replays Stats still doesn't work (now there's a 2010 option, but choosing it doesn't load the 2010 race list).
  • SuperBrian
Talking about bugs, the Podium-site hasn't worked properly since I signed up back in 2006. Cheesy
  • SuperBrian
And happy birthday here as well Lene..
  • Duplode
2005-12-30, Alain: "thank you for finding the bug bee jee... but the website is a bugless masterpiece... "The wiseman points the moon and the idiot stares at the finger"..." =D
  • CTG
    Happy birthday, sweet Lene! Wink
  • CTG
    (where is the horny Frenchman?)

Feb 9

  • Duplode
Speedgate is paradoxical. On paper it is nearly a cheat car. In practice, however, bringing it to its limits is a really tricky task...
  • Gutix
    You are right, Duplode
  • AbuRaf70
De acuerdo con Duplode y Gutix... Speedgate es un muy buen auto, pero solo manos expertas pueden aprovechar todo su potencial...
  • Bonzai Joe
Congratulations Gutix, you are now faster in the P962 than 2003 Akoss Poo in the Jaguar Tongue
  • Gutix
Akoss Poo and Alain. Both made the same time Wink

Feb 10

  • Pitman
    getting closer...
  • Duplode
Mwahaha, I beat those old 2003 times! =D
  • Duplode
"Beat", of course, only in the way that Renault used to beat the other teams when Alonso started on the front row in past two seasons... ^_^

Feb 11

  • Argammon
That is as valuable as if I would beat your time with the Indy ;P
  • Duplode
Next step: go under 50.xx in the Skoda! ;-D
  • Gutix
Closer to the 2003 winning time
  • Duplode
    Closer to the Edge
  • Duplode
In other news: I want to race in USL this year, and know you want too, so head to UnskilledStunts League 2010

Feb 12

  • Zak McKracken
    man, that's a weak lap...

Feb 13

  • CTG
    Happy birthday Lópina!

Feb 15

  • I am proud to announce a new article from Bonzai Joe: "Growing up on the Default track" Find it within the articles or simply click here - it's well worth reading.
  • Renato Biker
Zak, my time is 1:18:25 (or real time 1:19:85), not 1:17:86!!!!! I think that it happened because I press Esc after cross the final line.
  • Bonzai Joe
First serious replay of the month!
  • Renato Biker
Bonzai Joe: "...Alain proved that with replay handling, it was actually possible to go on the road, with ISA rules, and finish under one minute..." I did 56:15 on the road, using just powergear Smiley
  • SuperBrian
Sorry wrong replay! The last one is the right one..
  • Bonzai Joe
Very nice, Renato! I can imagine you can get power gear on the first hill, then after the corkscrew, and also on the bridge of course, and I guess if you also do it on the boulevard, you can get to something like 56 seconds.
  • Renato Biker
Yep, but I never get power gear on the first hill. Thus, I never get some good default time :S
  • Bonzai Joe
You must be the best in the world at Indy curves.
  • Renato Biker
It's relatively easy to turn the curves at the maximum of the 4° gear (accelerating, of course). Test it! Smiley
  • CTG
56.15 is not that strong anyway... and yes, 4th gear corners are really easy.

Feb 16

  • Bonzai Joe
Great, CTG! Looking forward to your 0.55 one of the following days. Let's kill those records.
  • SuperBrian
What's the noRH + ISA record?
  • SuperBrian
I wondered because I have just begun to set my own noRH + ISA record on Default now. Zak: My second-last score is still not the right one. Tongue
  • Bonzai Joe
It depends... Maybe it's still officially 1.01.70 because that time was verified as noRH, but some people claim to have done it faster (I myself have done it a few splitseconds faster too, on my own)

Feb 17

  • SuperBrian
Of course it's really hard to say because of the noRH-part and that Default (as far as I know) have never been driven as a part of a noRH-contest. Nevertheless I think it is the greatest time to set together with the ISA rule, because it is the way-the-track-is-supposed-to-be-driven-kind-of-way. Cheesy I myself have never got under 1:05.xx in that way. :-/
  • Bonzai Joe
I don't think it's possible to get under 1.05 or maybe 1.04 with auto transmission (but of course that could be another competition...). It is vital that you get power gear on the bridge and after the first corkscrew. Apart from that, it's all about how fast you can do the corners.
  • SuperBrian
Actually after only three trys with auto trm, Replay Handling and ISA rules, I managed to do 1:04.90, so if you do lucky lap with noRH it must be possible..

Feb 18

  • Renato Biker
2010-02-14 19:25- CTG: "renata: try harder". Ok, CTG, it's done. Now it's your time: try harder! Smiley
  • CTG
Who said I'll race seriously? Cheesy
  • CTG
Oh, 1:16.xx with Speedgate? That SUCKS!!! Try even harder and then we can talk about a match. Cheesy

Feb 21

  • Renato Biker
ok, when I do 1:12:-- I talk to you. Tongue

Feb 23

  • Renato Biker
Zak, what happened with noRH competition? It wasn't official, but certainly funny!
  • Zak McKracken
it was cancelled due to the lack of activity
  • Duplode
Last ZCT with any NoRH activity was Z79 - unsurprisingly, because it was Default after all. I wonder if those NoRH scoreboards are still somewhere in the database...
  • Zak McKracken
The database never forgets. Smiley http://www.stunts.hu/misc/norh.xls
  • Duplode
Cool. Then BJ actually lowered 3/20 of a second there Smiley
  • Bonzai Joe
That 1.01.55 was actually done in a live race vs CTG, in that month. I still think my 1.01.70 is more important because it had witnesses. I've also been faster than 1.01.55 at home (but never under 1.01). I should still be disqualified from the RH scoreboard for violating the BAFAP special rule :-D (my 1.22 was noRH long way)
  • Renato Biker
hahaaaaa Smiley I did 30:35!!!! Imagine in which track Tongue
  • Bonzai Joe
Oh dear... Well done, congratulations :-)
  • Duplode
ZOMGWTFCongratulations...! Maybe we should really wonder about 29.xx now...
  • Zak McKracken
    updated Smiley
  • Duplode
    updated[2] (the Wiki) :-)

Feb 24

  • Renato Biker
Zak, please, update my time on Skid Closed: 1:27:05. It's the same replay that I sent some years ago...
  • Renato Biker
...and a new record on Joe's: 48:35. Smiley

Feb 25

  • Bonzai Joe
I'm beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable about my records...
  • Renato Biker
hahaha, you must... I am search the way to beat your record on Bernie and Skid's. Tongue
  • Renato Biker
    Thank you, Zak Cheesy
  • Renato Biker
I am reviewing my old replays and searched a record on Bernie Closed: 1:18:50.
  • Renato Biker
... and on Cherry Closed: 3:02:95.
  • Renato Biker
... and on Joes Closed: 1:04:95.
  • Renato Biker
Sorry, I forgot to march "permanent competition"...
  • Duplode
Good to know, I don't quite need an 1:16.xx with Indy to further mock my utter incompetence with respect to this race :-D
  • Renato Biker
Zak, do you have my replay on Helen yet? I don't know what happened, it disappeared! Sad
  • Duplode
48.10 at Joe's. It is my only one, I won't let it go without a fight Smiley

Feb 27

  • CTG
I will beat all those permanent records in 2020.
  • CTG
    hey you...

Feb 28

  • Magic comes from South America - on ZCT104 at least. Four champions battled for the podium in February, all of them with the Speedgate. Their order was: 2004 (Gutix), 2006 (Renato Biker), 2007 (CTG), 2009 (Duplode). Congratulations to all of you, wonderful replays! Special congratulations to Gutix, who left the others standing in dust...
But the questions must be asked: Are oldies better than newbies? Prove that this statement is false! Race on ZCT105, Mudpaw - the choice of cars is wide - or isn't it? Well, let's see.
  • Duplode
...out there in the cold / Getting lonely, getting old / Can you feel me?
  • CTG
    sounds gay
  • dstien
    Fist liller.
  • Duplode
    /Pink Floyd mode OFF
  • Duplode
Early on the race I thought that Speedgate's engine traits would cause a simple non dual-way path to be better. At this point, however, it seems quite clear that, when driven properly (as I didn't) the Z22 line should be better indeed. All things considered, I wouldn't be shocked by getting a 5th place from 10 racers...
  • Duplode
*12* racers, sorry Mingva and dstien.
  • Duplode
Zak: if you're able to check that during the update, the 2010 Sent Replays stats aren't working - you can choose 2010 year but the races combo box list (C103...C114) won't load, and trying to use the "All" option results in "Can't select table!Table 'stunts.times' doesn't exist"
  • Zak McKracken
update is delayed by 30-60 minutes
  • Zak McKracken
    update started
  • Zak McKracken
    scoreboard final, unconfirmed
  • Zak McKracken
    scoreboard confirmed, update pending
  • Zak McKracken
    update finished, track available!
  • Zak McKracken
Duplode I'll have to recode the sent replays stats to fix this bug. Sad
  • Paradisio
There's error with corksrew left/right!!! It can't be between bridge.
  • Paradisio
    Error with ZCT105 track.
  • Paradisio
Oh, and LTB points are not added for Z104 race yet.
  • CTG
OMG, Gutix won this race with awful shifting technique (Speedgate is tricky, maybe unusual for the "oldies")... and even with that, excellent replay!
  • CTG
The same for Biker, except the excellent part. Tongue Cheesy
  • CTG
(and a weak 2-4th place anyway, my 40 mins replay was really crappy and slow to be 3rd)
  • Zak McKracken
    fixing problems...
  • Zak McKracken
    track fixed, ltb added, sorry!
  • CTG
That will cause a gang bang on the graphic scoreboard. Grin
  • Duplode
A Gutix victory was a bit overdue already after his comeback and some narrow misses. And with non-ideal shifting, indeed... Congratulations! :-) BTW, I share CTG's feelings with respect to my replay...
  • Duplode
My connection went down for a while and I couldn't post quickly enough, but there was a way of fixing the new track without changing the layout, by adding a fake dual way part... too bad, I like J-turns :-( Anyway, the track looks really nice from the map, exactly the kind of track I'd like to have after Z104. And Zak: nevermind the Sent Replays thing, I only asked in case it was some small thing easy to fix.
