Feb 1

• Holy corkscrew! What a start for the new season! Lots of racers, fierce battles with the Audi and a flock of Vettes overtaking everyone at the finish - seasoned with a bloody battle on time.
  Winner was CTG, who only had a couple of hours to put together his winning replay from scratch. I encourage all of you to check the news archive for Jan-31 to see what I am talking about
  And then come members of the team with the best teamwork and tactics: MeganiuM. Excellent strategy, and almost perfect execution. Well, almost. Still a considerable gain: CHulk came second, AbuRaf70 third and master Alan Rotoi fourth. With this, Meganium also secured the first place in the team battle Congrats to all!
  And then come the Audis. Most of the pipsqueaks only drove it through the track - some results are very strong, but Renato Biker took another route and looks like he first went to purchase the full stock of a carpet store. We don't have exact statistics, but seriously he may flew more than spent time on the tarmac.
  Thank you all for joining the first track of the 2013 season and making it so enjoyable to watch.
  On to February, a guest track, from CTG (with some modifications applied by Zak). Newibe-friendly but also demanding for the experts.
  The car choice would be quite obvious this month, if there would not be numerous route options. But there are... so do some planning before you drive, to avoid what you had to suffer on ZCT138.

  I needed at least two hours more for a decent Corvette-lap, but I think it was brave of Aburaf to publish his Corvette-try so early when everybody knows CTG checks the scoreboard every half an hour throughout the month. ;-)

  @dreadnaut: newbie league membership isn't mutually exclusive with participation in the regular one. (The only criteria is that if you have had your first race within 18 months your results are added to the newbie league as an extra.)

  Congratulations to CTG for the most annoying victory ever (and not half bad a job, racing against the deadline), and fair play to MeganiuM for almost pulling off a memorable reversal. I only wonder what Renato must be thinking about all that...

  Actually I had the feeling in the first days of the month that Corvette can be an option. I ignored it because I thought the powergear way would be too hard and stressing. After that came Biker's Audi lap and forgot the other option. But when I saw AbuRaf's time, I felt that PG way can't be that hard. Well, it was. Especially avoiding penalty time in the last quarter of the track.

  Ouch, the modified version is way too easy at the certain point. Original version: 180 degree banked corner, jump, small right-small left-2 tiles boulevard; now the latter two is changed to chicane and tunnel. No problem anyway, maybe I really forgot a bit about newbies.

  I did not know that the corvette has powergear. The first thing I thought when I saw the track was: if a car has powergear wins the race, but among the possible thought that I had not. I chose the car over jumps. It is a very beautiful track for audi, I wanted to see the audi tricks of another racers, but we have only four almost equal replays with powergear natural path. Well, I must admit, that silence in the face of so great advantage could not be in vain

  Friker: have I ever said that GTO is the proper car? No. It was a car test. Too bad I had to brake a lot before the 180 degree banked corner - I think it can be improved by 12-15 seconds (uncorrected). It's still worse than the current Audi laps.

  i did not said that you said that GTO is proper car I've done whole track without braking with GTO and I don't think it is enough. Somewhere around 1:00 with much more spent time than with audi. However there could be another path that could change things
