MarcoHi my great Friends. I have seen that you have introduced a GAR description in the Wiki. It's very great for me also to see some racers taking care of this way to play. Thank you so much. i had problem with my right arm and fingers so that i could not more race professionally with you. Now seems better and maybe I will return for some trials.
-
MarcoRegarding the Wiki GAR explanation I must specify a couple of corrections. GAR is not OWOOT but it's OPOOT, one pixel on, over or simply in contact with the surface (this was to avoid the asymettric tires problem of some cars). The replay checking is with the typical F3 view from the roof leaving the replay bar. According to my personal opinion, if the pixel is not in contact with the road surface (bumps, etc. are not considered road surface) , the replay is not valid while in the wiki is specified that there's a sort of tollerance. Tollerance is zero )). I tried the circuit running 3 seconds slower than Duplode but i have seen that Sekeer has returned back with an incredible and usual perfect. It's the faster of all the faster on Gar race, it would be greta to see how much he play to reach this results. So skills level compared to the time.

CasHey, Marco! I wanted to create an article on GAR in the wiki some time ago and found it was already redirecting to OWOOT and had specific details on GAR there, so I left it unchanged. However, looking back at it, I see that it does not suggest that there's tolerance in GAR. What it says there is that other OWOOT variants may have greater tolerance. If you want, though, I can create a separate article for GAR including all the details in your explanatory videos. In my opinion, all OWOOT are "OPOOT". R4K, for example, is OWOOT in the same sense that GAR is, only that it does not require NoRH. But I can still make the "OPOOT" point clear in the article if you wish.
-
CasSorry, I just realise I made a mistake. With "OPOOT" you mean one pixel "of the car". Yes, then I take back what I said that all OWOOT are OPOOT.

DuplodeHello Marco; great to see you around! Regarding those remarks in the Wiki article (which were added by me): I admit I would really like to be able to use the "GAR" term to talk about strict OWOOT plus NoRH, as we never had a good word for that -- it would be similar to how we take "IRC rules" to mean strict OWOOT regardless of minor rule differences (e.g. Mingva's IRC was OWOOT, Southern Cross was TWOOT, and ZakStunts GAR is OPOOT, but it seems fine to say they all use "IRC rules"). In any case, if you prefer that I don't do that I won't insist
-
CasI share that view with Duplode. I think "OWOOT", for instance, already has gained a meaning as a word which allows for variants, even when some of them may not be directly defined by the letter-by-letter expansion of it. "OWOOT" is the most used term today for these variants so a racer would find the information more quickly and communicate more easily that way. Say somebody searches for "OWOOT", I think there should be some words about GAR in that article and maybe a link to a more specific article. In an article on GAR, in my opinion, OWOOT should equally be mentioned and linked, although it could also be cleared out that maybe "OPOOT" defines the rules better. Something like that. Just adding to the thought. What do you guys reckon?

CTGThe new Acura NSX, OMG... we need an upgraded 3D model in Stunts, too.
-
CasLooks amazing!
-
afulloNice car, even if it would be difficult to reproduce the 9-gear gearbox in Stunts: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_NSX_(second_generation)

dosbox92Hey guys! Despite my constant absences, I want to say one thing: this is the best site in the world!

DuplodeNice to see Akoss and dosbox back on the scoreboard I have three laps to race against in three days -- four if you count R4K. Leaving it too late, as always...
-
DuplodeOh, and the new NSX does look great. Design trends aside, it did manage to retain something of the classic one.
-
dreadnautWelcome back Dosbox and Akoss! Nice to see Looping Warriors back on the scoreboard

OverdrijfHey, hey, riddle me this: what do IndyCar, IMSA, Formula 1, GT3, superkarts and DTM all have in common? Stunts goes Dtm

dreadnautI'm not sure if the Countach can catch up with the LM002, but it would be interesting!

CTGKilling the party: Biker appears with a solid 39.95...

Seeker1982Literally the 1st GAR-Lap that I managed according to rules: a driven 1:47,00 in the LM002
-
Seeker1982and the 1st lap below 1:45 in the LM002: a driven 1:44,85 of which I think an 1:43,xx is possible
-
Seeker1982I think this is my last GAR-time - that gapped jump after the corkscrew is simply evil, took me dozens of times to finally made that jump again
-
OverdrijfGAR it is then, working on my feel for the car.
